BAT represents all Right-Minded People, who are fed up to the back teeth with this Fine Country Of Ours being talked down, messed up, sold out, and taken in.  We listen to the Silent Majority, and we hear what they say.

OUR  POLICIES ON TAXATION

We are the Low Tax party, because tax discourages Enterprise and punishes Effort.  Then the money is totally wasted on things like lesbian swimming pools, Asian water skiing and trees, all paid for by Hard Working Families.  We will Lower Taxes and Increase Spending by being more efficient.  We will cut out waste and chuck out wasters in the public services, which are only there for scroungers and people who can't be bothered to work hard enough to pay for private services.  For instance, if civil servants insist on having chairs to sit why shouldn't they buy their own?  If teachers want tea breaks they can bring their own tea.  Or coffee, as we are absolutely in favour of Choice (except in the case of abortion.  And drugs.  And yobs.  In fact, don't get us started.)

INCOME TAX

The name is a complete giveaway.  Because, obviously, those with the most income are going to pay the most tax.  This is the Politics Of Envy.  To make things fair we will make lower earners pay at a higher rate, because that way they will have a stake in the country.  Higher earners will pay a lower rate, because that will encourage them to create wealth.

VAT

This is a complete con, forced on us by the so-called European Union.  You should only have to pay Value Added Tax if you get Added Value.  It's obvious.  But you cannot possibly get added value if there is a 17½ % tax slapped on!  So we will get rid of it totally, and introduce a sales tax of, say, 17½ % instead.  And if the so-called Europeans don't like that, they can stick it up their so-called baguettes and lump it.

DEATH DUTIES

The dead should not be taxed just because they are dead.  Wealth should cascade down the generations and a thousand flowers bloom outside stately homes.  Why should people lose control of their Own Money simply because they have passed on?  Therefore death duties should only be levied with the express post-mortem consent of the deceased.

EXCISE DUTIES

These are a Tax On Freedom.  For instance, a decent, hard-working family who like to drive to the pub in their four-by four for a few drinks and a cigar have to Pay Through The Nose for the privilege.  Sleazy, lazy single people who don't even own a car but take drugs at home get a totally Free Ride.

This leads to totally innocent entrepreneurs who engage in free-enterprise importation in white vans being persecuted for their initiative, which is typical of the lily-livered Establishment, and is caused by Foreigners having lower taxes which is a good thing, even though they probably stole the idea from us in the first place, but our so-called politicians are too pathetic to bring in for us.

Worst of all is fuel duty, which is especially designed to be a burden on free-enterprise white van drivers and other motorists, who are treated like a Tax Cow.

We will create a Level Playing Field so that people can choose whether to spend their hard-earned share dividends on whatever they choose without the Government taking a cut.  We will pay for this by putting a tax on woollies, bleeding-hearts and wishy-washing.

CONCLUSION

We will move away from the Tax And Spend policies of the Socialists, and bring in a spend and tax system instead.  This will give a boost to business and reward entrepreneurs, who in return will help the economy by keeping our money safe in tax havens.
