LEG OF DONKEY

 

This here is ideal if you've got a lot of mouths to feed.

Especially if the people what own the mouths aren't fussy.

INGREDIENTS : One donkey leg (or more if the mouths are especially big).  The hind leg is best, and I always get my boy, Sid, to go out and talk one off for me.  He's very good at that.

 

METHOD : Roast slowly, then serve quickly.  I do it with pickled lilies and cream of salad, but you could do hot veg if you wanted.  In fact if the veg are hot it's best to cook and eat them quick to destroy the evidence.

 

TIP : Best not be too greedy.  If you take more than one leg per donkey the supply will soon dry up, which is more than you can say of Sid because he never does.  He reckon that's what draining boards are for.
