A Jimmy Kipper Muddley
Jimmy Kipper is always known Sid's great-uncle, although the relationship was a little more distant than that - their common relation was actually four generations ago. But their shared talent for performance is there for anyone to see (on payment of an entry fee). Jimmy's name was made on the music halls, and this was one of his most popular numbers. Another was forty-seven.

I
came home early for supper last night; Bill Bloater's bike was parked outside,
But
there was no sign of him or me wife, I couldn't think why.
I
took the horse around the back, went to the stable to hang up me tack,
Heard
funny noises come from the haystack, then I saw a sight:
Two
lovely backsides, oh what a surprise,
There
in the haystack they were making hay - two lovely backsides.
Daddy
wouldn't buy me a moo cow (moo cow);
Daddy
wouldn't buy me a moo cow (moo cow);
I've
got a little bull, but no matter how I pull,
It
isn't like a moo-moo-cow.
Daddy
wouldn't buy me a moo cow (moo cow);
Daddy
wouldn't buy me a moo cow (moo cow);
I've
got a little rat - I went and married that -
But
I haven't got a moo-moo-cow.
She
was a sweet little dolly bird - cheap, cheap, cheap she was;
Weekly
I flew to her, and here's the reason, because;
She
went for a song - she even gave easy terms;
She
was one of the curly birds, and I was one of the worms.
O
Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are leaking
The
drains are blocked, the grass it do grow high.
The
paint peels off, and all the doors are creaking;
It's
you, it's you have gone, and I must bide.
Oh
you are gone when the cows get in the meadow,
And
when the yard is four foot deep in snow,
So
when you come back home to your own bed, oh,
Then
Danny boy, it's then I'll tell you where to go.
It's
a long way to Little Snoring, it's a long way to go;
It's
a long way to Little Snoring - well it is from Haddiscoe.
Goodbye,
Pudding Norton, farewell Fakenham Fair;
It's
a long, long way to Little Snoring, so I won't go there!
